In
order to view Chinese in Dr Chinese, the following components need to be
installed first. |
||
|
|
o Built in East Asian input support |
|
|
|
o Global IME |
|
|
|
||

Installation
Steps
|
|
|
|
Installation of East Asian input support 1) Click on the
‘Start’ button
2) Click on
‘Control Panel’ 3)
Click on ‘Regional and Language Options’ 4) Click on the
‘Languages’ tab
5) Check the box
for ‘Install files for East
Asian Languages’. 6) Click ‘OK’ to install the required
files Note: After you
have executed step 6, your system may prompt you for the ‘Windows XP CD-ROM’. If it does,
just insert the ‘Windows XP
CD-ROM’ into the CD-ROM drive and click ‘OK’. After which it will prompt you to restart your
computer for the new settings to take effect. 7) Click on ‘Yes’ to restart your computer. Installation of Global IME 1)
Click
on the link below to download a copy of Microsoft Global IME 5.02
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/recommended/ime/install.mspx 2) Select the
desired language option
3) Click ‘Go’ 4) Click ‘ Save’ to save the file 5) Execute the
file that you’ve just saved in step 4 6) Click ‘Yes’ to continue installing
Global IME
7) Click ‘Yes’ to agree with License
Agreement Note: After clicking ‘Yes’ in step 7, the setup program will copy all the
necessary files required for IME to work.
8) Click ‘Yes’ to exit installation

9) Click ‘Yes’ to restart your computer |
